Stride Strong Physical Therapy Treats Sports Injuries

Whether your recreational activities involve weight lifting or wrestling, boxing or basketball, our Stride Strong Physical Therapists are armed with the knowledge to get you back to resuming your sport.  Athletes place higher demands on muscles and joints and so therefore require sport-specific training to recover speed, power and agility. Our physical therapists have extensive experience rehabbing Portland's athletes and have endorsements from local area coaches and gyms.

We believe in movement science – watching the movement performed by athletes to hone in on why they experienced their injury in the first place, allows us and our patients to understand and prevent recurrence of these injuries. We provide longer appointment times for our athlete patients to properly assess tissue strain, muscle and tissue integrity, sports form and force generation, performance posture to see where the athlete's weak links are.

From there, we administer manual and massage therapy, focal stretching, and targeted strengthening exercises to rehabilitate and prevent further injury in gameplay.
