Dr. Michaela (Miki) Bailey PT, DPT earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at George Fox University in Newberg, OR. Her clinical background includes Orthopedic, Pelvic, and Geriatric therapy.
Miki believes that vitality and feeling good are possible at any age and so she strives to help facilitate the body’s innate healing mechanisms to restore global balance and well-being. Miki is a lifelong learner and continually studies new techniques and treatments that acts at the root cause of each patient’s symptoms.
One of her main specialties include Pelvic Rehabilitation for women, men, and children and she is well-versed in treating pelvic floor dysfunction and interconnected conditions of the pelvis, hip, spine, and abdomen. In addition to being a women’s health therapist for pregnant and post-menopausal women, her clinical interests also extends to Orthopedics and Spinal Rehabilitation.
Being an avid ultra-marathoner herself, she is able to understand and appreciate running mechanics, the constraints of running training and what it takes for a runner to recover from injury.
Miki employs a variety of manual therapy approaches including MDT/ McKenzie, Mulligan, Maitland, Kaltenborn, MET, Visceral Manipulation, and myofascial mobilizations including Mayan Abdominal massage. Miki is also an Upledger-trained Craniosacral Therapist – a gentle therapy method that can help a myriad of orthopedic and psychosomatic issues.
An Osteopath at heart, Miki is committed to providing holistic and integrative care, and loves working collaboratively with other medical professionals including Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Homeopaths, Nutritionists, MDs, and alternative practitioners. In addition to her work as a physical therapist, Miki is a second-degree Reiki practitioner and is happy to collaborate with Energy Medicine practitioners.
